Google Lab has been working on related image search. Google introduced an  organized image search feature : Google Image Swirl Image Swirl is very easy and pretty to use. First it indexes the images in stacked form of the similar images. I tried "Andaman Islands" to search the images. All related images are grouped behind the front images which represent the type of the group.

Now clicking on the each group of images made me very exited. The interface is very cool and interactive. Each thumbnail opens a circle/cluster of the most relevant images.

Every cluster contains many sub clusters and so on depending on the availability of search keyword. Further clicks opens new clusters and leaves the history behind which is accessible at any point.

Image Swirl is in demo state and currently supprort 200,000 image groups. Google plans to add more groups in future.
System requrements:
Good internet bandwidth
Browser with java and flash.
