LinkedIn too jumps in URL shortening service as we have seen with all major sites such as Google, Twitter etc. Lnkd.in short for LinkedIn is launched as the URL shortener for it. Lnkd.in will be used in sharing news over its webpages and on twitter, a twitter integration. Reminding you that Twitter too launched its native URL shortener twee.tt recently.
After the improvements, You get full control of how your content is accessed by people. You can set specific contents private if you don's want to share it with a particular type of people - Friends, colleagues, a group or everyone.
Now you can edit and delete your own post or status messages if it is needed. This cool feature is now only available on LinkedIn.
If you want to share some news or the cool website you are in (as now), you can Re-Share the content with your network, even if you have already said that.
So now you can explore more new features, head to LinkedIn.com.
So the launch of LinkedIn's URL shortener lnkd.in will have major consequence and will bring good results. This makes sharing information and news a lot easier. What do you say about re-share?

thanks for sharing this information! it's very useful for a lot people try to understand how we can use this product.
This caught me totally by surprise, and frankly ticked me off. I use Bit.ly, so I can track the number of people that go to my posted links -- and I often customize a link to make it make more sense rather than using the default random characters. I always post on LinkedIn, which posts to Twitter, which posts to Buzz. My last post this LinkedIn shortener just plain swapped it out without asking first. First time I have ever been ticked at LinkedIn. I hope they either offer the same kind of features as Bit.ly -- or give me the option.
